Don't make these mistakes
Don't say 'I want to work on LLMs.' NEXUS is explicitly not an LLM. It's a purpose built architecture for structured data. If you conflate them, you signal you haven't read past the headline. Don't pitch yourself as a generalist ML engineer. They want specificity on tabular methods.
What gets their attention
Co–founder Gabriel Suissa is Israeli and leads much of the R&D (the team has engineers from AI21 Labs). For research roles, finding Gabriel's professional network through the Israeli AI ecosystem (particularly AI21 Labs alumni on LinkedIn) is the most direct path. The Cloudera partnership (announced September 2025) means Fundamental is building integration work – if you have Cloudera platform experience, it's a genuine warm lead into a technical role.
