How to Actually Get Hired
Who reads applications, which channel gets a reply, and what they screen for.
Don't make these mistakes
Sending a generic "I'm excited about AI and vibe-coding" email. This is a two-person founding team at a pre-seed company. Every email gets read by a founder, and they're going to respond to people who have actually used the product and have a concrete technical or product contribution to make. Don't mention Cursor or Bolt by name either, founders get tired of being positioned against competitors they already know. Focus on what you can add to Mayson, not how you've benchmarked it.
What gets their attention
The press release is unusually direct about where the money goes: "strengthen our vibe-to-code engine, build reusable patterns for common product surfaces, and grow our founding engineering team in India."
Why applying the normal way doesn't work
MAYSON has an ATS but the real pipeline is referrals → sourced → recruiter picks → cold apps. You can still get through, but know where you stand.
Who to contact at MAYSON
What to show them
Mayson needs engineers who can work on both the code generation layer (LLM-driven) and the infrastructure output layer (the actual backend it produces). This is a research-adjacent engineering role: you're building a system that generates systems, which means your work directly determines product quality. At pre-seed, this is also likely employee number 5 or 6 with meaningful equity. Core skills: TypeScript or Python, LLM integration and prompt engineering, backend infrastructure generation, Node.js or similar server frameworks, cloud deployment (AWS/GCP/Vercel), code generation and AST manipulation, infrastructure-as-code. Proof of work: Use the Mayson platform to build something non-trivial: a real app with a backend, auth, and a database interaction. Then identify the point where the generated code breaks down or needs manual fixing, and write up what you'd change in the generation layer. Sharing this with the founders is simultaneously a product review and a job application.

Mistakes that kill applications
At people, a copy-paste CV is immediately obvious. It's an instant no.
Lead with their problem, not your ambition. MAYSON is focused on The vibe-coding category exploded in 2024 and 2025 with Cursor, Bolt, Lovable, and Replit all attacking the same problem from different angles — show you understand that.
Don't apply and wait. The median Tech application gets no response ever. One follow-up at day five roughly doubles reply rates.
