What Alyson is looking for
My dream role is owning lifecycle end-to-end, sole architect of every email and SMS a customer receives, from segmentation logic and journey architecture to QA, deliverability, and the dashboards that tie each send to revenue. I lose track of time deep in the build: mapping behavior-triggered journeys on a blank canvas, watching messy engagement data resolve into clean cohorts, then shipping a nurture flow and seeing conversion climb on a system that runs without me touching it. Ideally that's at a mission-driven health company, where the journeys I build don't just move a metric they get patients through the door to care.
Why Alyson is exploring
I've built what I came to build. Over the last two years I took our agency from ad-hoc everything to a documented, automated system, the nurture engine, the internal booking tool, AI workflows the whole team runs on and it works well enough now that it doesn't need me to be the architect anymore, just an operator. The work I'm proudest of, and the work I want to get back to, is what I did at Aledade: building an engagement system where the conversion event was a patient actually getting care. I'm looking for the next blank slate, and I want it to be in healthcare.
What won't fit on a resume
I was hired to do PR comms and ended up shipping an internal web app for booking tracking, mining years of old engagement data into a ranked media database, and going so far down the AI rabbit hole that my prompt workflows became the whole team's operating system.
