The story

What Anish is looking for

Honestly, the days I lose track of time are when I'm sitting at the intersection of a messy problem and a team that actually wants to solve it. Not just talking about it. I like mornings where there's a fire that nobody fully owns yet and I'm the one who figures out how to put it out before noon. At Metis I was scaling evaluator ops, debugging data pipelines, and briefing the founders all in the same afternoon. That's the zone. I want to be the person a founder turns to when something is broken or when something needs to be built from scratch and there's no playbook yet.

Why Anish is exploring

I've learned a lot at Metis and genuinely proud of what we built operationally. But I'm at a point where I want to find a company where I can grow with the team longer term, not just parachute in and scale something. I want to be in a role where I'm close enough to the founder to actually understand the vision, and trusted enough to help execute on it. That's harder to find than it sounds.

What won't fit on a resume

A few things. First, I spent a summer deep in quantitative trading at D.E. Shaw building signals from scratch, backtesting 35+ strategies. That changed how I think about decisions. I now naturally frame almost everything as a signal-to-noise problem. Second, I co-founded a mental health platform for teens during COVID called TeenTalk. We had no funding, no playbook, and no brand. We still reached 3,750 kids nationwide. That experience taught me more about scrappy ops and people management than any internship did. Third, I built a financial analysis tool on the side just because I was curious about how AI could read SEC filings. Nobody asked me to, I just wanted to see if it was possible. That rabbit hole turned into a real product. I'm always building something.
