The story

What Arjun is looking for

The day starts with context, not tasks. I'm across what a club, league, brand or athlete is trying to build — and my job is to figure out how to tell that story, grow that audience, or make that operation run better. Some days that's writing a campaign narrative. Some days it's a sponsorship deck. Some days it's on the ground at a match or an event, making sure everything holds together. I lose track of time when I'm deep in a brief that actually matters — when the organisation I'm working with cares about what they're building, not just what it looks like. I work best when I have ownership, when I can move between strategy and execution without asking for permission, and when the people around me are genuinely invested in the work.

Why Arjun is exploring

I've spent the last year consulting independently, which taught me a lot — but I'm at a point where I need stability, not variety. I'm also at a point in my life where the financial pressure is real. I've worked across four countries, built brands, grown audiences, taught sports management at a university level — and right now I'm looking for an organisation that wants someone like me badly enough to actually bring me in. I'm not looking for a title. I'm looking for work that matters, with people who take it seriously.

What won't fit on a resume

I took a football club in Thailand — Samui Athletic FC — from a name and a WhatsApp group to a club with a visual identity, a content system, a community, and match-day media. Nobody asked me to do most of it. I just kept going because it felt like something worth building. I've coached kids in basketball drills at 7am in Dubai, then spent the afternoon writing sponsorship decks, then reviewed social content before bed — not because I had to, but because that's genuinely how I'm wired. I designed the entire logo and brand identity for the International School of Samui's sports academies in a country where I didn't speak the language, working with a founder who communicated mostly in voice notes. I taught Sports Management to BBA students and realised halfway through the semester that the most useful thing I could give them wasn't the syllabus — it was an honest picture of what the industry actually looks like. So I changed how I taught. I'm the kind of person who reads about grassroots football governance for fun and has opinions about why Indian sports clubs fail to build communities. That's not a skill. It's just who I am.
