The story

What Aryan is looking for

small team where i can own things end to end. i like going from the model to the API to the frontend and watching someone actually use it. i lose track of time when i'm taking something messy and unstructured and turning it into something clean and useful. don't really care about the job title, i care about whether the work matters and whether i get to ship.

Why Aryan is exploring

finished my MS at UCSD in june. did two internships and shipped a research tool that people actually use (causalcopilot.com) but i don't want the big tech route where i own one microservice and sit in planning meetings. i want to be early somewhere where the problems are genuinely hard. went to a claude code hackathon recently where crossbeams won first place and it reminded me how much i like building fast with a small group of people who care.

What won't fit on a resume

my undergrad is in mechatronics/robotics so i have this weird overlap of understanding physical engineering systems and also being able to build ML pipelines and full stack apps. causalcopilot.com started as a side project and turned into a real product with active users and a JMLR publication which i genuinely didn't plan. at shein i built a react frontend with shadcn for a recoloring tool because the designers needed something usable not just an API endpoint. i like building the whole thing not just the model.
