I lose track of time working upstream of the code. Figuring out the right abstraction, thinking through architecture, understanding what I'm building before anything gets built. The actual implementation is increasingly something I orchestrate with AI now, rather than write, and honestly, I'd like to believe I've gotten good at that. I want skin in the game. Not just salary, but equity that's actually tied to whether the product works in the world. I've spent 3+ years building infra I believe in, but with no business model, no real customers, and no feedback loop. I genuinely can't tell if what I'm shipping matters to anyone outside the ecosystem. I want to feel that.

Honestly, three things: - I've been at my current company 3+ years and the work has gotten familiar in a way that's stopped being generative. - There's no business model, so there's no real feedback loop. I can't feel whether what I'm building matters. - I want equity that's actually worth something, not in a "chase the number" way, but in a "i want it to mean something when the product wins" way.
What won't fit on a resume
I once watched a friend spend an entire weekend manually consolidating hundreds of excel sheets. It almost physically bothered me. I spent two hours writing a script that did it for him instantly. That's basically the throughline of everything I've built. My uncle's team was manually parsing 4500 documents a week, I started building an OCR pipeline. A lawyer friend was doing due diligence across 400 documents, I built Legalia, specifically a tabular cross-document view, because the alternative was insane. I'm not a "builder" in the abstract. I see someone stuck on something that a computer should obviously be solving, and I can't leave it alone.
