What Ishita is looking for
I want to sit at the intersection of product, data, and execution, where I can take something from 0 → 1 and then scale it. Day-to-day, that looks like talking to users, identifying messy, ambiguous problems, building scrappy prototypes, and then turning those into structured, repeatable systems. I lose track of time when I’m connecting dots across teams, whether that’s translating business needs into technical solutions or building workflows that actually get used. I care a lot about ownership. Small, high-context teams where I can move fast, make decisions, and see real impact matter more to me than perfectly defined roles.
Why Ishita is exploring
I’ve learned a lot in my current role, especially around operating within large systems and shipping in complex environments. But I’ve realized I’m most energized when I’m closer to the ground floor, where there’s more ambiguity, faster iteration, and a tighter feedback loop between what I build and the outcome. Right now, I’m looking for a role where I can have more direct ownership, move faster, and be closer to the problems rather than just the process.
What won't fit on a resume
A lot of my best work started as “this system is broken, I’ll just fix it.” I’ve built internal tools and reporting workflows that became the backbone for how teams track performance, even when that wasn’t my official role. Outside of work, I’ve spent years building communities, from scaling an edtech nonprofit’s partnerships from 0 to 50+ to growing developer communities across cities through Google Developer Groups and Women Techmakers. I like creating ecosystems where things compound, whether that’s data systems, products, or people networks. I also tend to go deep down rabbit holes when something interests me, lately that’s been around data infrastructure, AI workflows, and how early-stage products go from scrappy to scalable.
