The story
What Julia is looking for
ideating and delivering with a team of other A-players, figuring things on the go, specifically commercial problems like positioning, pricing, distribution, winning clients.
Why Julia is exploring
My current company is selling a medical device on US market only, and it's easier to find a US citizen on site than to sponsor my visa
What won't fit on a resume
The thing I built that nobody asked for is Movers & Makers, a community of operators and founders across Central and Eastern Europe. I started it Polish-first, from zero, because I kept meeting sharp people working in isolation with no room to find each other. It is now 500+ members, with people from PostHog, McKinsey, and Palantir, speakers from ElevenLabs and Zowie, and Inovo VC as a partner. I run the whole thing: who gets in, the dinners and panels, the partnerships. The rabbit hole was the modern AI sales stack. Building GTM at a medtech startup with no budget and no team, I taught myself Clay, HeyReach, Instantly, Relevance AI, and Claude Code, and wired them into one outbound system I ran solo. Now I prototype small internal tools the same way. Once you can build a workflow in an afternoon, you stop accepting manual work as a given. Then there is the research side, which most commercial people never touch. To get a clinical-grade device into real studies, I coordinated research collaborations with institutions including Cambridge, Stanford, and Oxford, handling the business and operational side: study coordination, data quality, on-site implementation, and the eleven months of bioethics reviews, committees, and protocols that come with one of the most regulated sectors there is. I am not the scientist. I am the person who makes the science actually happen inside a hospital. It taught me that in medtech nothing sells a device like evidence, so I stopped pitching and started building the proof with the people who needed it too. And the thing I make for fun is my own application materials, including illustrated pitch decks, built with Nanobanana, Flora, and Midjourney. I would rather show someone how I think than tell them.
