The story

What Kriyanshi is looking for

backend / infra work where i actually own stuff. not "own" in the standup sense, own in the "if it breaks at 2am it's mine and i wanted it that way" sense. give me a system, let me understand it end to end, let me change the parts that are dumb. i don't care about company size. i care if the problem is real and the people around it know what they're doing. what i don't want: shipping things i don't believe in because someone three layers up said so.

Why Kriyanshi is exploring

communication. i can handle hard problems, weird scope, even dumb deadlines — what kills me is not knowing what we're building or why. decisions happening in rooms i'm not in, then showing up as tickets. i want to work somewhere the plan is visible and people argue about it out loud.

What won't fit on a resume

i built serene. it's a focus workspace in one browser tab — pomodoro, tasks, ambient sounds, breathing thing. free, offline, no signup, no account, no dashboard guilting you about your streak. i made it because every focus app wanted me to sign up and sync to a server so i could… set a 25 minute timer. i just wanted a timer, a rain sound, and somewhere to dump my tasks. so i built that. a handful of strangers use it now, which is weirdly the best feedback loop i've had. someone you've never met opening your thing on a tuesday morning hits different than a jira ticket closing. the fun part wasn't the features. it was the constraints — keeping it offline-first, fitting everything in one tab without it feeling like a cockpit, making the audio not die when the tab loses focus. small problems, my favourite kind.
