The story

What Lila is looking for

I have realized over time that the work I find most meaningful sits at the intersection of problem solving, building, and helping others grow. I enjoy digging into security challenges, understanding what is actually causing the issue, and putting something in place that strengthens the system moving forward rather than applying a one time fix. At the same time, I value sharing what I know, whether that means guiding a teammate through a concept or mentoring someone who is new to the field. The kind of role I am drawn to is one where I can remain hands on, continue learning, and contribute in a way that creates a visible impact for both the organization and the people around me.

Why Lila is exploring

What is really pushing me right now is the nature of my current work. I have been working across multiple projects and clients, which has given me a lot of exposure to different environments, tools, and challenges. That experience has been valuable, especially in building a broad skill set in security operations, risk management, and system improvements. At the same time, constantly shifting between projects has made me realize that I am looking for something more stable and long term. I want to be in a position where I can stay committed to one environment, understand it deeply, and contribute in a more meaningful way over time. Instead of moving from one engagement to another, I am interested in helping build and improve systems continuously, working closely with a team, and seeing the long term impact of the work.

What won't fit on a resume

Much of the value I bring comes from turning complexity into something people can actually use. As a security consultant, my role has not been limited to security alone. It has also required a strong focus on business operations, understanding how teams function, where gaps exist, and how security can be integrated without slowing things down. I often step into environments where processes are unclear or fragmented and bring structure by simplifying technical challenges, aligning them with business needs, and making workflows more practical. Over time, I have created 20+ structured processes, guides, and operational frameworks that are still actively used, while also mentoring and supporting 50+ individuals in applying security concepts more effectively. It is not always the most visible part of the work, but it has a lasting impact. I take pride in leaving both systems and teams more aligned, efficient, and confident in how they operate.
