The story
What Marco is looking for
My dream role is one where I spend my days designing backend systems, improving architecture, and solving real scalability or reliability problems with a strong team. I lose track of time when I’m deep in building APIs, shaping event-driven workflows, optimizing performance, or automating infrastructure and deployments - especially when the work has clear product impact and the team cares about doing things well.
Why Marco is exploring
Honestly, I’m looking because I want to be in a role where I can have stronger long-term impact on backend architecture, platform reliability, and the overall quality of the systems being built. I’m at my best on collaborative teams with solid engineering practices and meaningful product ownership, so I’m being intentional about finding a place where I can do that kind of work consistently.
What won't fit on a resume
What probably doesn’t fit neatly on my resume is that I’m usually the person who goes down the rabbit hole on the painful operational problems nobody has formally assigned yet - automating manual workflows, tightening deployment pipelines, improving observability, and cleaning up backend bottlenecks before they become bigger production issues. A lot of the work I enjoy most lives in that space between product and infrastructure: building internal automation services, improving event-driven workflows, and making systems easier for the rest of the team to run and evolve.
