What Naveen is looking for
My dream role is one where I’m building real systems or products that people actually use, not just implementing small pieces of something defined months ago. I like working on problems where the solution isn’t obvious, figuring things out, building quickly, and improving things over time. I enjoy working across the stack and understanding how everything fits together, from backend systems to frontend to infrastructure. I’d rather be on a small team where I can own things end-to-end, ship fast, and see the impact of what I build, instead of being one small part of a very large system.
Why Naveen is exploring
Honestly, I want to be somewhere where I can build more, learn faster, and work on harder problems. I don’t want to spend the next few years just completing tickets and small tasks without understanding the bigger system. I want to work in an environment where I can take ownership and improve things, not just maintain them.
What won't fit on a resume
A lot of the things I build start because I get annoyed by inefficient systems. For example, I built a job scraping platform because the university job site was difficult to navigate and filter, so I rebuilt a better interface and backend for searching jobs. I’ve also spent time experimenting with AI tools and building small tools and scripts to automate tasks or speed up development workflows. I tend to go down rabbit holes where I try to understand how systems work and then try to rebuild or improve them. Most of my projects come from seeing something inefficient and trying to fix it.
