The story

What Sarah is looking for

A dream role for me is owning the operating system of marketing for a high‑conviction, technical product team. Day to day, that looks like: - Sitting with founders or product leads to sharpen narrative, GTM, and “what are we actually trying to move” in clear, measurable terms. - Designing the rhythms: quarterly plans, weekly reviews, launch checklists, post‑mortems – and then actually running them, not just writing a Notion doc that nobody reads. - Turning vague ideas (“we should do something with creators”, “we need enterprise leads”, “we should lean into AI”) into concrete experiments with owners, timelines, and success criteria. - Partnering with data and ops to make sure dashboards tell the truth and aren’t just performance theater. - Coaching marketers and cross‑functional teams so they can ship better work with less chaos. I lose track of time when I’m: - Untangling messy strategy into a simple, sharp plan everyone can repeat. - Building GTM frameworks (including agentic marketing OS) that multiple teams can reuse. - Fixing a broken funnel or launch process and watching the numbers move because the system finally makes sense.

Why Sarah is exploring

I’ve outgrown roles where marketing is treated as “content and socials” instead of a growth and operating function. I want to be somewhere that expects marketing to own hard numbers and cross‑functional alignment. I’ve proven to myself that I can build and fix in Web3, DeFi, and media. Now I want to apply that in an environment with sharper constraints and higher expectations. I’m very aware that my best work happens when I’m slightly uncomfortable, surrounded by people who are better than me in their craft and honest in their feedback. I’m intentionally looking for that level of pressure and pace. On a personal level, I’m optimising for learning and leverage: fewer random projects, more focus on one system I can meaningfully scale.

What won't fit on a resume

- I’ve been ghost‑consulting founders for years. Friends and ex‑clients send me decks, token designs, positioning docs, or launch plans “just for a quick look.” I’ll rip them apart, rebuild the story, and structure the GTM, not because I’m paid, but because I can’t stand seeing avoidable mistakes. - I obsess over systems in everyday life. I redesign onboarding flows for communities I join. I rewrite forms, docs, and comms in my head. I’ll join a new product and immediately map how I’d structure their lifecycle marketing or referral loops. It’s not “work,” but I can’t turn it off. - I’ve shipped things people never asked for but ended up adopting. In multiple roles, I created internal playbooks, launch templates, and reporting formats because I was tired of chaos. Those artifacts later became “how we do things here” and outlived my role description.
