The story

What Tannishtha is looking for

My dream role isn’t really about the job title, it’s about the day-to-day. I want to be in a position where I can own a product end-to-end, from shaping the idea and positioning to actually getting it in front of people. That means thinking deeply about the user, building out the GTM pipeline, experimenting with distribution, and figuring out what actually makes something grow. I love being involved in the creative direction too — the messaging, the brand, the story we’re telling, and how it shows up across content and product. The kind of work where you’re constantly testing ideas, shipping things quickly, and learning from what works. Basically the sort of role where I’m close to both the product and the audience, where strategy, creativity, and execution all overlap so much that you look up and realise hours have passed without noticing.

Why Tannishtha is exploring

Right now, the main push is honestly the culture at my current company. It’s become pretty toxic, and it’s the kind of environment where it’s hard to do your best work or feel motivated day-to-day. On top of that, there’s very little opportunity to actually own deal lines or take real responsibility over meaningful work. I’m someone who likes being close to outcomes — owning projects, building things end-to-end, and being accountable for results — and that just isn’t possible in my current setup. So I’m looking for a role where the culture is healthier and more collaborative, and where I can actually take ownership of work that moves the needle rather than just sitting on the sidelines.

What won't fit on a resume

One thing that doesn’t really show up on my resume is that I like building small tools to solve problems I’m personally annoyed by. For example, I built a Chrome extension that lets people evaluate how well their profile matches a job description, essentially giving them a quick “job matching score.” The idea came from noticing how opaque job applications are, and how hard it is for candidates to know whether they’re actually a good fit before spending time applying. I went down a bit of a rabbit hole figuring out how to compare resumes and job descriptions in a simple, useful way, and ended up shipping a working extension that people could use to get instant feedback. It was a fun project because it combined product thinking, user empathy, and a bit of experimentatiog, basically scratching my own itch while building something others could benefit from too.
