The story

What Vaitheeshwar is looking for

Owning systems/moving-parts and understanding trade-offs. Being part of the strategising/tactics and also getting my hands dirty doing the actual work. I want to have Impact. I rejected a Goldman Sachs return offer solely because I did not find it impactful. Scale is flexible, desire to move the needle is not.

Why Vaitheeshwar is exploring

Don't want a safe start to a corporate tickbox career. I want to build. I want to take moonshots, go all out. Not play it safe. and I want to do work I believe in, I enjoy and I'm stimulated by. I grew up playing sport and board games and I'm seeking work that feels like play to me, intellectual sport.

What won't fit on a resume

I want to own jobs that don't have a description. Three stories. Three traits. Ambition. Growing up, in school, I once had a teacher and classmates laugh and scorn that I could've scored centum (100%) in a math test. I took it on my ego and did not lose a single mark the entire year. across 8 exams. 100/100 throughout. This was as big as olympics gold for me then and changed my perspective entirely. It was the first time I took it on myself to aim for the stars. And that's what I value the most now, aiming big, not selling short. Resillience. I welcomed 2022 waking up in a hospital with 10 metal plates on my face and a blacked out memory of a car accident that the doctors would tell me "its a miracle you're alive". Had to teach myself to eat, to speak. The worst part of this all was not able to play soccer for 6 months and being the debate society president who stuttered through sentences. Crisis management and recovery are not just buzzwords in my profile. I'm an iron man, quite literally. Passion. I love what I like. I go all-in with intensity. Just built out an entire custom private fantasy platform for just my 10 friends to compete in our annual summer cricket league. Used to run it entirely on excel until last year.
