It extracts every skill your CV actually evidences, then suggests adjacent skills common in your field, inferred from your employment history rather than a generic list.
What skills section works best on a CV?
A short “key skills” block under your personal statement scans well, but skills carry most weight inside your employment history — “migrated the estate to Kubernetes” proves more than a keyword ever does.
Should I list soft skills?
Named soft skills (“teamwork, communication”) parse as filler. Show them through what you did — “led a team of four” is a soft skill with evidence attached.
Why do keywords matter on a CV?
Recruiters search their database by skill terms. If a tool you use daily isn't literally written on your CV, those searches don't return you.
